A prospective purchaser of property on the club grounds who is not a member of the Country Club of North Carolina must be sponsored by a member of the club as a candidate for membership.

A member wishing to sponsor a candidate for membership in CCNC must:

  1. Obtain a questionnaire from the Club Managers Office.
  2. Select a member as seconder.
  3. Fill out the questionnaire in detail.
  4. Forward completed questionnaire along with letter of recommendation from Proposer, Seconder, and two member Endorsers to the Chairman of the Membership Committee, CCNC, PO Box 786, Pinehurst, NC, 28374.
  5. In proposing a candidate for membership in CCNC, the sponsor, seconder, and two endorsers assume the responsibility of recommending the candidate as a desirable member of the Club.

The Membership Chairman will contact the sponsor to review the questionnaire and all supporting information.  He will also arrange to meet the candidate.  Following initial examination by the Membership Committee, the candidate's name will be circulated to the membership for comments, if any, during a period of two weeks from date of the circulation notice.  The Committee may establish such additional requirements as it deems necessary.  Notification of the candidates approval or disapproval will be made shortly after final review by the Committee.
